The objective is to become the first player to correctly identify the suspect, the weapon, and the crime scene hidden inside the confidential case file.

First, players collect clues during the game. Then, they compare information revealed by other players while marking notes on their detective sheet. Finally, when they are confident in their deductions, they make a final accusation to solve the mystery.

Before the game begins, place all six character tokens on their matching starting spaces, even if fewer than six players are participating. Next, place each weapon in a random room inside the mansion.

After that, separate the character, weapon, and room cards into three decks. Randomly place one card from each deck inside the confidential envelope without revealing them. These cards contain the solution to the mystery.

The remaining cards are shuffled together and distributed among the players. Each player secretly reviews their cards and records useful information on the detective notepad.

During each turn, players roll the dice and move through the mansion using hallways and doorways to enter different rooms. Whenever a player enters a room, they may suggest a suspect, a weapon, and that specific room as part of their investigation.

Meanwhile, the other players secretly reveal matching cards whenever possible, allowing the active player to eliminate incorrect possibilities. Therefore, every suggestion helps narrow down the list of suspects, weapons, and locations.

In addition, successful detectives pay close attention to every suggestion made during the game, even when it is another player’s turn. Likewise, keeping accurate notes helps eliminate impossible combinations much faster. Consequently, players can make better-informed decisions before risking their final accusation. Finally, patience and careful observation often prove more valuable than making quick guesses.
